Is this invoice generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit on how many invoices you make. The small "Made with E2C" line at the bottom is optional, and you can turn it off.

How do I save the invoice as a PDF?

Click Download PDF. Your browser opens its print window. Choose "Save as PDF" as the printer and save. On a phone, the same option is in the print or share menu.

Is my information stored anywhere?

Only in your own browser, so your business details are filled in next time. Nothing you type is sent to E2C. Use "Clear everything" to remove it from this device.

Can I make a GST invoice for India?

Yes. Choose India GST as the tax type. The invoice is titled Tax Invoice and shows your GSTIN, the customer's GSTIN, HSN or SAC codes, the place of supply, and CGST and SGST for sales in your state or IGST for sales to another state. It doesn't create e-invoices on the government portal, which larger businesses must use, so check with your CA if you're not sure which you need.

What should every invoice include?

Your business name and contact details, the customer's name, a unique invoice number, the issue date, each item with quantity and price, any tax, the total due, and how to pay. If you're registered for sales tax, VAT or GST, add your registration number.

How should I number my invoices?

Use one running sequence and never reuse a number, for example INV-0001, INV-0002 and so on. "Start the next invoice" keeps your business details and moves to the next number for you.
